What are the chances of testicular cancer coming back after treatment?

After treatment, the chances of testicular cancer coming back (recurrence) depend on several factors, including the type

and stage of cancer, the treatment received, and individual health. For early-stage testicular cancer (Stage I), the recurrence

risk is generally low, around 5% to 15%. In these cases, testicular cancer treatment usually involves surgery to remove the

affected testicle, followed by close monitoring. If cancer has spread to lymph nodes or other areas (Stage II or III), the

recurrence risk increases, ranging from 10% to 50%. Treatment for these stages often includes chemotherapy or radiation

therapy to reduce the chances of recurrence.
