How is adrenal cancer different from kidney cancer?
Adrenal cancer is a rare but aggressive cancer that originates in the adrenal glands, which are located just above the kidneys. Adrenal cancer often leads to hormone overproduction, causing symptoms such as rapid weight gain, high blood pressure, and muscle weakness. It can be challenging to detect early, and it may spread quickly. In contrast, kidney cancer typically begins in the kidney tissues and may show signs like blood in the urine. Adrenal cancer generally requires a more complex, hormone-focused treatment approach.
